The restaurant chains in Helsinki are witnessing a big change when a new concept is coming to the metropolitan area. This new idea goes with the expectation of high-quality food served by restaurants for customers and results in a completely new customer segment for restaurants as well. During lunchtime, the restaurants are often full with so many orders with a limited number of seats. In the past, they can only serve two customer segments either eat in or takeaway. The word “home delivery” is often seen as a term for pizza and kebab delivery.
However, because of the fact that the lunch break is limited, large companies encourage their employees to order food delivered to the workplace by paying delivery costs for them, which results in time-saving and functionality increase. Personally speaking, this new approach is perfect. It has been a long time since I get tired of restaurants downstairs and would like to taste a variety of lunch dishes. However, I do not want to order a pizza or kebab for lunch, so this new healthier delivery service is more than welcome.
